WARNING: Due to increasing rebel activity and violent civil/political unrest, travel here is discouraged for most of the country, especially the north of the country. The government is volatile and maintains a weak grip on the country. Banditry and general lawlessness are major problems outside Bangui. Travel outside Bangui, except for the relatively peaceful southwest area near Dzanga-Sangha National Park, is dangerous and not advised for any reason. This includes all land routes from Cameroon. |
