Corning is the name of both a small city and a township in Steuben County, in the Southern Tier region of New York state.

Known as the Crystal City, Corning is a small city located on the banks of the Chemung River. It is headquarters of Fortune 500 company Corning Inc., formerly Corning Glass Works.
