If you travel from Bogor, there are several alternatives to reach Sukabumi. The most common and practical transport is what they called Kol. It refers to L300 Colt Mitsubishi minibuses that exclusively serve Bogor-Sukabumi journey. You can hop on to a Kol either around Baranangsiang Terminal or Botanical Square. Botanical Square is where you hop off from DAMRI buses from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Kol will cost you about IDR 20000 (USD 2.35). The journey will take about 2 hours.
Another alternative if you are an adventurer, you may try the train. It is called "Bumi Geulis" train. The journey will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes, but the scenery you can capture from this train is a total beautiful.
