Western Visayas is a region in the Visayas in the Philippines. It is a grouping of the islands of Panay, half of the island of Negros, and the small island province of Guimaras. The island of Negros is shared with Central Visayas region. Panay Island consists of the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz and Iloilo. Negros Occidental is in Negros Island and shares border with Negros Oriental which belongs to Central Visayas region.
The region is home to world-famous beach of Boracay Island which is off the coast of Malay.
The region is home to religious cultural festivals famous of which is the Ati-atihan Festival of [[Kalibo, Aklan]|Kalibo]] every January. Equally, popular is the MassKara Festival of Bacolod City during the month of October. Another popular festival is Dinagyang Festival of Iloilo City every January.
