Located in the heart of the Grampians National Park, Gariwerd Motel is just 700 metres from the centre of Halls Gap. The environmentally focused motel is home to kangaroos, kookaburras and emus. Superior guest experience at Gariwerd Motel
The Gariwerd Motel (Gariwerd is the aboriginal name for the area) is an older style motel with loads of character. It has a shady and interesting history (left abandoned and run down at times, painted pink) but the new owners are slowly putting it back together. The new owners have an environmental focus and the motel has an extensive recycling and composting system. The rooms have sustainable or recyclable paper products. The owners even make their own environmentally friendly cleaners. It's a very clean motel with seating areas within the wildlife that love to come and visit. It has 2 styles of rooms budget and superior. The budget rooms are still requiring refurbishment and the process has started.
