As per Colombia's tax laws Foreign visitors and Colombian citizens currently living outside Colombia are tax-exempt (19% VAT) when receive a PIP3, PIP5, PIP6, PIP10, TP7, TP11 stamp or TP12 visa upon entry to the country. Exemption only applies to room package rates (accommodation plus service). Permit must be shown upon arrival. This tax is not automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation. Please note that in accordance to 679 of 2001 Colombian Law, Law 1336 de 2009 and 3840- 2009 resolution, sexual exploitation of children is illegal. Therefore, every children from ages 0 to 17 must present a valid ID and birth certificate along with the parents ID to verify their relationship. If the minor is not accompanied by his or her parents, the accompanying adults must have a written and authenticated authorization along with the previously mentioned documentation. Dogs are accepted until 10 kilos maximum and a vaccination card up-to-date must be presented.
