Lovely place to choose for overnight on the biking tour...
Lovely place to choose for overnight on the biking tour around the Neusiedler See. Esterhazy Castle is worth a visit. Restaurant opposite the Castle is recommended. If you start in Neusiedl am See, it is 82 km to Fertod, which is a pleasant distance for a one-day ride, stopping at nice places on the way (Rust, Morbisch beaches...). The second day is the way back 52 km long - via Apetlon, Zicksee and Podersdorf. In a relaxed pace, trip suitable for the whole family.

The Esterhazy Palace was fantastic.
The Esterhazy Palace was fantastic. We enjoyed the palace tour very much. Having said that, the tour we chose was in Hungarian, but we had English information which we read as we walking through the Palace.The tour was just the right length. The Palace is a must for any Haydn admirer or anyone passionate about Austro-Hungarian history. The restaurant right across from the palace was great...food, service, location and price outstanding. The only reason we felt our time was too long in this area was because our car broke down in the town and we had to stay an extra day until someone would come out and look at it. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

The property was just perfect for staying with kids: large garden, playground for kids, table football (csocso). There is also a playing corner in the big community space inside the house with lots of games, board games and books for kids. Breakfast was very good as well.
