    Beautiful setting.

Beautiful setting. Demand to settle the bill, which was already paid via booking.com spoiled the whole good experience. As we were in hurry, i couldn't check and the manageress on duty insisted on payment, which supposedly she didn't receive. therefore i paid double and never received the credit.

The quaint village of Sedgefield offers a variety of little shops as well as a number of really good eating places all within easy walking distance. Beaches great for swimming and long walks. It is also very close to other towns on the Garden Route like Knysna, Wilderness and George.

Very sorted town when it comes to shops and restaurants.

Very sorted town when it comes to shops and restaurants. The beach is very close and the town is reasonably priced. Close enough to nature to make you feel like you've left the city behind LOADSHEDDING!!! Brace yourself as it can put a damper on your evening especially, because most places close by 8pm. so pack your board games and powerbanks.

Place is beautiful, well kept clean, housekeeping is tops, staff is friendly and honest Bedding and towels gets changed daily The scenery is beautiful its really well managed I think adding wifi will be a great bonus with Netflix and YouTube... Didn't enjoy TV channels and the food at the kiosk was so cheap It was easy to get around there was fridge magnet with places to eat and go see We went to Swartvlei, Knysna, Plett, Tsitsikamma, The Heights...

Sedgefield is a gem. So Haven on Hoepoe is situated in an ideal place for anyone wanting to get away from the rat race. Tranquil and peaceful. Haven on Hoepoe, is amazing, spotless, comfortable and everything you need. The hosts are the friendliest people. Welcomed with such openess and friendliness. Wonderful people. Wonderful little gem in such a quaint amazing town. Thank you Michael and Lesley van Kerkhof for the amazing three nights we spent at Haven on Hoepoe. We will be back , most definitely.

It was lovely staying here. Clean, tidy, all our comforts were met. I forgot my earrings there and called the same day we left to speak to the owner. I was duly assisted by both the owner and the friendly Mrs Min who found the items and delivered it to my family in Sedgefield. I am very satisfied with their honesty, kindness and professional service. They treated me as family.. Thank you Linda and Mrs Min!!!! Also glad that there were enough extra blankets as it was an exceptionally cold weekend.

This place was a perfect hideaway for us, it was beautifully decorated, had every amenity that we could possibly have needed. you’ll need to acquaint yourself with the off-grid power which does mean a generator in the mornings but otherwise we absolutely loved it. Barbara was the most wonderful host and ensured that we wanted for nothing. You’re close enough to town to be able to explore Sedgefield or Knysna but you’re secluded enough to really get the relaxation you’re craving. We’d love to go back.

I loved the location it is right on the beach and the the beach is a very nice swim location. There were also events taking place on the beach that was fun to see. The restaurant is on the ground floor and they served good food at a reasonable price and you can order to the room. The staff are all very friendly and helpful both at the restaurant and the hotel. The kids enjoyed the roof with a view of the beach and the surrounding area

I was in such awe of this amazing find, highly recommendable and we as a family of 4 have decided it will always be a 1 night or hopefully next time a 2 night stay on our way out of Sedgefield. It is the perfect setting to just relax unwind and get lost in the views. We stayed only for 1 night but what a magical way to end our Holiday.

The house is well kept. It has a gas stove, so cooking during load shedding is not a problem. We felt we were in a very secure place. Sedgefield being small, you don't have to drive far and through traffic to shops and petrol stations. The house is located well in Sedgefield and is an easy drive to Knysna or Plett.

The location of the beach cabanas is excellent, right on the beach front. I really liked the rustic feel, friendly staff and the food was heavenly. The dinner was large meals and even the kiddies were catered for. (Very sticky eaters). Overall, a great experience and convenient for 1 night stopover venue.

Located in the hills outside of Sedgefield, you are away from the town. If you like piece and quiet with amazing views, it's a good place to stay. The huts are comfortable and surrounded with beautiful nature with a separate kitchen/washroom building with a braii area.
