The host is very nice; she even picked me up at the station. The flat is very nice, clean and with a well-equipped kitchen. Washing machine, drying rack – everything was there. I can highly recommend this accommodation, had a good time there.

Place is located in quiet place, yet close to the city. It's pet friendly that we and our dogs really enjoyed. It has a pound next to house so in hot weather it's nice to swim there. For additional cost it's possible to get sauna. Beds were quite comfy - I appreciate stiff mattresses used.

I have been to Rezekne three times, always as an overnight...
I have been to Rezekne three times, always as an overnight stop before moving on to Riga, Vilnius or Moscow. Its location makes it convenient for a night's sleep, and the city offer some decent restaurants and a countriside setting. There city is small, but you have good markets (Rimi is probably the best), a good brewhouse (Iggi) and a nice restaurant (Marijas Kafija). I jae only visited the city in winter, but I would expect there to be more things to do in the summer.

Coming from a Westeuropean country it is interesting to experience how life is now in a (former) Easteuropean country. Except from the hotel, almost nobody we met in shops and so on spoke English at all but everybody was very friendly so we had no problems. Small town with safe and friendly environment.
Small town with safe and friendly environment. Can provide and historical sightseeing, and entertainment, nice local cuisine at Maria's restaurant, an amazing fitness complex with gym and ice rink. They have local theatre . Also art exhibitions run on regular basis, or at local art college you can pick up great art pieces for a very good price . Summer time can offer festivals at festival park ,some sunbathing by lakes ,or at open swimming pool at Restart hotel .Angelika - 10Scored 10

1. See the synagogue. There's an interesting shop nearby where old women sell beautiful textiles, chandeliers etc. 2. Go to neighbouring Ludza for one day (or two)! The most charming town in Latvia. Totally unspoiled by supermarkets etc. 3. the best restaurants: Marijas kafija (specialities for culinarists, try their dark beer) and Ausmene kebabs (cheap but quality) 4. To my great surprise, the dark Rezekne beer was the best I have tasted anywhere in the world (well, except in Stepanakert).

Hot shower and delicious freshly ground espresso. One of the places, where I would like to return to. Overall much better, than expected in Rezekne town. Several advantages: • fully equipped apartment, coffee machine, kettle, kitchen utensils dishwasher, washing machine with drying function, smart TV • polite staff • quiet neighbours • very good location • a great alternative to hotels nearby.
