Sigulda castle from outside is enough.
Sigulda castle from outside is enough. Spent much more time in Turraida castle with many houses from the region (price the same and much more to see).
In weekends during summer try bobsleigh. Amazing experience!

An area in Latvia known for kayaking, hiking, walking and visiting the Turaida castle and Tarzans park for kids and adults alike. Wonderful views from the river banks. I've been there many times and will go back again next time.

Sigulda has very many interesting attractions - bobslade track, cable car to Krimulda, Turaida castle, Gutmans cave, Gauja river, Ramkalni attractions. It has exceptional nature around Gauja valley, good for hiking or canoing, lot of hiking trails. Nice vegan food in Stirna&Avocado at Janis Tirgus.

Nice castle area in Sigulda.
Nice castle area in Sigulda. There is also cable car if you are into such activity. Bridge with national flags of Latvia is a perfect place for photos. The town itself rather quiet and without Old Town but still nice for a walk. Close to national park. There are also Turaida castle remains nearby but in my opinion there is no medieval vibe there.

Super place for a family vacation!
Super place for a family vacation! Lots of outdoor activities suitable for kids of various ages. Excellent service and instructor at Aerodium, definitely a strong recommendation as for Tarzans to which this was our fifth visit and it never fails! :-) All in all a lovely little city!
We've got Paul's room, with queen size bed. It was very comfortable, the furniture is elegant. The bathroom is equipped with a rather big bath. I also enjoyed a small swimming pool for the additional price, the personnel was very helpful and nice.
We were visiting Sigulda for a music event, which ended late (closer to midnight). Due to a huge crowd it was impossible to order a taxi online, so instead we walked to Krimulda - and it was a pleasant night walk! All the way to the hotel, the walking/bicycle lines are well lit.
We had a really lovely time at Hotel Sigulda. We picked the biggest room with air conditioning and it was very comfortable. The bed was huge and bathroom was spotlessly clean.
Hotel is located right next to bus and train station, as well as walking distance from the local landmarks and attractions. It's a great choice and great value for money. Will definitely stay again when we're back in Sigulda!
Great location and wonderful apartment with a lot of space! It was nice to have two bathrooms since it was five of us. Apartment had everything that we needed and I loved to sit on the balcony in the mornings and drink my coffee ☕️ maybe another fan would be great for hot summer days since there is no AC. The grocery store and restaurants were super close which we really enjoyed.
It is an amazing place with literarely everything what you can imagine starting from fully equipped kitchen and finishing with honey waiting for you. Villa Vilma's team is exceptionally friendly taking care of every little thing. Complementary sweets upon our arrival were super nice to have after a long drive. It is a must place to stay if you are in Sigulda.
The hotel is right in the center of Sigulda within walking distance of cafes, grocery stores and the park. We loved the location! We loved our room, as it was on the top floor and had an amazing terrace where we sat in the evening and did some star-gazing. The room was quite big and has a refrigerator - both great features. I loved the no-fuss self-check in.
Please, get your wallet out and spend money on ironing board. Hotel really needs updating. Horrible breakfast. Unprofessional staff and customer service. Would not stay again. Room was spacious , staff was friendly although they this not speak English, Price is very fair.
They do not serve break feast but you have a shopping mall at 3min walking distance that does.
the restaurant can be closed and you should probably skip it if it is open.
This is a really good hotel if you are hiking,
Good location right next to the bus/train stop. Great place if you wanna visit Sigulda's castle. Right next to the old water tower (recommend to visit since it has been transformed into a very cute "art & coffee place". Hotel rooms are a bit old fashioned but good value for money.
Lovely place in a beautiful town! The staff were very friendly. The place was very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and free. Very good breakfast. The saunas and pool facilities were worth the extra 15 euro after being in the car for days and wandering around the town.
I like this hotel and I have spent a good time there. It is located not far away from the railway station and a center of Sigulda, where you can find cafeterias, restaurants and shops. The garden is very impresive, it was the one of the most beautiful I ever saw.
Small and very cozy hotel. We found everything we needed there. A bit old fashioned style, but that's what gives this place its charm. A nice and cute cafe downstairs, where the food is delicious and the symbol of this place - real cat -rests so sweetly nearby.
In the heart of Sigulda, on a silent street, close to Sigulda castle ruins, which is venue for many concerts during summertime. Very clean, modern hotel, great value for money, nice breakfast, parking available on premises.
Very simple, charming hotel with lots of personality and a very sweet proprietor who is very warm and welcoming. The hotel has a buffet restaurant so breakfast is abundant. Lovely little hotel.
