The property is a cozy cottage on a beutiful strecth of the Spekboom river. The cottage is homely and comfortable with great beds and en-suite bathrooms. Highlighy recommended for a great weekend away in the bush flyfishing the crystal clear waters of the Spekboom river.

I slept in lydenburg because it was a central place for my vacation. I visited different neighboring places like Sabie (Pilgrims rest and etc), Graskop (Gods window and etc) and Dullsroom (horse riding and flying fish). There were different restaurants around Lydenburg. It was easy to get around the place because it is not congested.

Lots to do in that area.
Lots to do in that area. Wish we had stayed 3 days, instead of 1. We ate at Cafe Crust and the experience was so-so, but we went late (19:30), so maybe that was why. We are at Jam Jar and it was amazing!! Good food and incredible service. We stayed at Aqua Terra Guest House - it was great!!
We did not like anything at all. We ended up moving to another place to stay because this place was so dirty and stinking with no curtains and we could not sleep there at all. We were very disappointed and actually demand a refund. I can't think that I'll ever book through bookings.com as the pictures on the site is not at all what you get at the location. This people is giving your site a bad name and this place also has the highest rating of all the locations in Lydenburg. I'll never ever advise anybody to sleep there ever.
Driving up a picturesque driveway you are met by a beautiful house that looks out onto mountains and grassland. In the distance you can see Lydenburg (Mashishing). The house is fully equipped with all necessities, you can just bring your family (and food off course). The farm assistants were friendly and helpful and took good care of us. There are a few sheep, chickens and donkeys which gives a nice farm feeling.
Everything! What a wonderful guesthouse! Beautifully decorated with vintage style. It feels you're back in the 19th century. So.many small details in the room that makes your stay absolutely fantastic. We spent only one night there but we wished we could stay a month. Breakfast is excellent. Like sitting in a restaurant. One of the most enjoyable stays in a hotel ever. Truly highly recommended!
The old fashioned way! The decoration, environment and the garden was really a good surprise. We enjoy the pub inside the hotel, the restaurant and the garden.
The room was comfortable, and quiet.
France was so welcoming and friendly, it was really a plus during our stay.
Clean, well managed,........under very difficult circumstances as the Lydenburg municipal staff were on strike and had switched the power supply off to the whole town! The Guesthouse have a diesel generator and this made the stay even better!
Located just outside Lydenburg in a quiet area. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Rooms have a coffee station and small fridge. Communal braai area. Safe outdoor parking.
The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Value for money.
We were late due to circumstances, Francis and Barney went out of their way to accommodate us. They make this more like a home than a guesthouse. I would recommend their place for anyone whom might travel to Lydenburg.
I need my money back, when i arrived at Lydenburg i could not find the place, you did not pay the owner of the house. I had to find another place, please pay money before i report you.
Fantastic stay at a beautifully run self-catering home on the pretty Spekboom river in Lydenburg! Great for family, friends and good old fashion out-doors!
