Asian Tradition, French Flair and Growing Modernity
Offering a trip through delicious Vietnamese aromas, small silk shops and ancient pagodas, the streets of Ho Chi Minh City dazzle tourists with their vibrant atmosphere. Its rich culture includes beautiful French colonial palaces mixed with modern skyscrapers that show the power of Vietnam’s economic capital.
Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theatre, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. On the other hand, the Haussmann-style boulevards are typically packed with small motorcycles that make every street crossing a whole new experience.
Contemporary Saigon can be seen in places like the Bitexco Financial Tower, located directly at central Ham Nghi Blvrd. Meanwhile, Saigon Centre or Zen Plaza are some of its modern shopping malls.
For a look into Vietnam’s recent history, don’t miss the Reunification Palace or the War Remnants Museum. A sunset visit to the 23rd September Park is the best way to mingle with the locals.
Indulge yourself in one of the 5-star Ho Chi Minh hotels, or stay in budget accommodation at Pham Ngu Lao Street. Don’t miss the Ho Chi Minh City accommodation deals on Booking.com before arriving at Tan Son Nhat International Airport!
Ho Chi Minh is a typically nice but BUSY city. Scooters everywhere so you have to be really vigilant, not sure i’d bring young children. Definitely worth the trip to see Bui Vien walking street (it’s full of fun bars and restaurants so better at night) and the Ben Thanh street food market was amazing- such a good selection of cuisines. The Ben Thanh market is huge, make sure you go first thing in the morning as if you’re the first buyer it’s good luck so you get a good price! Make sure you haggle otherwise they try to charge 2x what it’s worth! Trying the traditional iced egg coffee is a MUST- it’s surprisingly so sweet and delicious! Japanese Soft Cream was yum too! Really recommend booking a tour of the Chu Chi tunnels through a provider, as there’s so signs or information there so you don’t get any background on what each hut/tunnel was used for, where as a guide will talk you through it. The Notre Dame cathedral was anticlimactic as its undergoing renovation.

Ho Chi Minh City was a capital city.
Ho Chi Minh City was a capital city. Just as you would imagine a capital city to be. We didn't find the food scene to be as good as other places in Vietnam. There appeared to be a lot of girlie bars throughout the city, which made it seem a bit cheap. The locals are not as friendly as the smaller towns of Vietnam.

Fascinating city.
Fascinating city. Many attractions worth seeing in and around. Superb restaurants and bars. Lovely and friendly people. Most imported goods are relatively expensive. Recommend Cu Chi tunnels, Mekong Delta, Motor Bike food tour, Jeep City Tour, Vietnamese Cooking Course (Chef Vu), Opera House (Bamboo Show was brilliant), Water Puppets, River Cruise/Dinner, Museums.. Stayed at Hato Saigon Hotel - new, clean and comfortable - close to all CBD attractions (walking). Don't use taxis from airport (D345,000) use Grab (D91-100,000).

So much to see and do.
So much to see and do. We only had 2 days 4 would have been enough.
Traffic was mesmerising to watch how they weaved between Each other without crashing. Barter in the markets as they real max the prices. One stall asking 6 million for a vase. The factory where they were made charged 2 million.
The war museum is really worth visiting heart breaking stories.
Cu chi Tunnels great makes you really understand what and how they had to live.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It's next to the Bitexco Financial tower, which makes it close to the Ho Chi Minh Square and other interesting places. Because the hotel is in District 1, you probably can book all kinds of trips and being picked up at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The communication in English was very easy. Breakfast was very good with all kinds of food to choose from. The swimming pool on the roof was perfect to relax after a whole day in the city.
Central location in District 1, where basically all sights of Ho Chi Minh City are located. The staff was extremely friendly. They even drove my boyfriend to a pharmacy when I needed medicine in the evening. One evening we were provided a great foot bath for free. We also booked the Mekong Delta Tour over the Hotel. The tour was a bit touristic but from what I have read online, that's normal. The breakfast was served in a partner hotel; it was small but nice.
The location is quite good even though it is a bit far from District 1 (you can take Grab and go to center in 15-20 minutes). You can find a lot of restaurants & cafes around. The hotel is very clean and, people are so friendly and kind. I especially would like to thank Kay and Jack at reception for their hospitality and support anytime I needed. I will definitely come here when I travel to Ho Chi Minh City again.
Hotel is within district1 ideal to walk to main streets, Vincom shopping centre, Bui Vien street and all major attractions Ho Chi Minh city has to offer. Hotel is within district 1 do tour buses also pick you and drop at hotel. Breakfast is good with variety of choices. Hotel also provided complimentary fruits snd afternoon tea vouchers. I will definitely stay here again whenever i visit this beautiful city.
I recently stayed at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and had an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The bellman greeted me warmly and helped me with my luggage, while the front desk staff were efficient and welcoming. The lobby was beautiful and well-maintained, with comfortable seating and a calming atmosphere.
The apartment was immaculate and stylish, with a modern design and a cozy atmosphere. The staff were very kind and professional, always going the extra mile to make me happy. The pool was fantastic, with a gorgeous view of the city and the water. This was the ideal place to experience the culture and excitement of Ho Chi Minh City.

The breakfast was excellent! We really enjoyed the fruit and coffee especially! We spent a great deal of time at the pool and it was lovely! The staff were also exceptional, so kind and accommodating and they helped with everything we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel to any friends visiting Ho Chi Minh city.
city center, near Ben Thanh market. all the shops, cafes, restaurant are nearby. It is good for your trip in few days in Ho Chi Minh city. The room with balcony is good, lighty but noisy from the street. The room inside without balcony is mor quiet but smaller and darker with small window.
Sai Gon Hotel hotel is situated in the heart of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, where there are plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and shopping centers. The hotel has an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from Ben Thanh Market and Tao Dan Park.
Staff were extremely helpful. We stayed in a deluxe room with balcony and found it to be quite comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and service was outstanding. The hotel is in a central location and easy to walk to many of the sites in District 1.
Comfortable cozy rooms. Great location in district 1. Easy access to walking streets, restaurant, Ben thanh / Saigon markets
AC was strong and good cooling.helps in the July heat. Amazing cafe downstairs to watch the city pass by.
This is a luxurious feeling hotel in the center of District 1 - a very busy and exciting part of downtown Ho Chi Minh City. I felt very safe in this hotel and would recommend it to family and friends.
It was a very great hotel with good breakfast, and a perfect location. The room was clean and made my stay in Ho Chi Minh City very comfortable. I recommend this hotel for a great stay.
