It was a clean room for a good price. It's walkable to OU's campus which was important to us.

Hard to beat for the price you pay. Very clean and staff is welcoming. We close to the highway, stores and restaurants. We stayded there for 3 nights while we went mortocycling aroud to visit during the day.
Athens is a quaint college town. Lots of coffee shops, eateries, book stores, bars, and students. We were there for an "accepted students event" for my daughter and were attending many programs at Ohio University; however, when we were walking around the town, we exchanged smiles and "hellos" with several passers-by, and twice were asked, "May I help you?" by complete strangers. The area is picturesque and the nearby Hocking Hills offer tons of outdoor recreational activities. I'm sure it's beautiful in the fall with all of the huge, hardwood trees. We love the area and hope to spending a fair amount of time there over the next four years. :-)

Love this boutique hotel.
Love this boutique hotel. However, the wall to the adjoining room was extremely thin, and I could hear every conversation from the lively and active couple staying there. After 20 minutes of listening to them arguing at 1:40 am, I politely asked them to please lower their voices; and they complied. I could hear their private (very delicate phrasing) intimate activities and could not drown it out except by putting headphones on. Little thing, but the blow dryer in my room was not functional enough to dry my hair and the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim and poor. The very kind and accommodating staff let me use an empty room on the floor to get ready, and that bathroom was outstanding. Just luck of the room draw. But quite nice, I will definitely stay there again. I was there on an emergency medical visit for my on-campus daughter, and staff was very kind and accommodating.

Athens is a small college town.
Athens is a small college town. The campus is very pretty and well-kept. It varies in elevation several times - be prepared to walk up hills and lots of stairs. Adjacent to the campus is a quaint downtown with a variety of restaurants and shops (get your college gear!). A commerce strip further from downtown provides several hotel chains and restaurants to enjoy. There are several large box stores in the area too (Walmart, Lowes, Menards). If you are visiting the college, there are enough other activities to fill a day or two (boating/hiking at Stroud's Run park, hiking up Radar Hill, exploring the shops).
Union Street Diner is a favorite breakfast stop.
Lunch is easy anywhere on Court Street.
Supper options abound. Just check Yelp. The small non-chain places are our favorites. Service at the franchise places varies based on student attendance/workforce available.
Please be aware that Athens uses Parking Meters for much of their public parking in the downtown/campus area. Bring quarters!

I lived in the city back in the 1960s for three years while in the military and a ROTC instructor at the University. My son graduated from the University. His French instructor was most happy to talk with him which they did. Regarding my time after the military, I spent 30 years in the hospitality interest industry. I owned and operated five hotels, and found the Inn to be announced standing property. This is the fifth year we have used the Inn for accommodations. Hard travel into this area is to visit the gravesite of my wife’s family and have a game of golf at the OU golf course. We will plan the same visit next year using this facility.

Traffic is lovely; drivers kept the speed-limits, something we are not used to from Columbus. With all the young people around it's still a tranquil town where elderly people like us (70+) feel safe. Streets are clean. The young man in the tourist center on State St. is awesome. People are very friendly and helpful!!
Staff is really nice and supportive. They made me feel very comfortable. It was my first day in Athens, didn't have local number so could not call a cab to go to market. The manager booked a cab for me from his account (though I paid him in cash) and he gave the tip to the driver from his own pocket. Other staff was also very professional and supportive. I loved the people here. Their Weekly rates are very reasonable.
The room exceeded my expectations! The bed was very comfortable (especially the pillows!) Staff was very nice as well as helpful. Located in the perfect location to restaurants or shopping. The only negative comment was the thermostat which I had a hard time controlling. Beautiful hotel though.
The possibility to stay with pets. I did not take my dog with me this time but I do value the fact that pets are permitted. The floor was not covered by carpet what definitely makes it cleaner. For this level of hotel it is definitely good.
Wish I could give this hotel 15 out of 10. Room was really spacious, bright and airy. Bed was super comfortable, bathroom and shower superb. Free water and soda in the fridge. Reception host super nice and friendly. Price a bargain.
Very little options for breakfast. But overall, the hotel was clean, newer finishes, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. As this was an economy hotel, I would rate it good to very good.
The hotel was just off the Highway, which is just what I wanted. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and pleasant. My room was clean, quiet and the shower was great. I was very pleased.
Exactly what you expect. Old fashioned motel with plenty of parking space, right next to the main road to Athens center. Also convenient: the excellent Devil's Kettle Brewing is literally next door.
Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great Internet. The breakfast was very rich for a hotel this kind. Great location. Parking is plenty and easy. Will come back for sure.
It's a little outside central Athens but easy access. Quiet area with some slight highway noise but nothing to keep you awake. It's a Super 8. You get a bed and a bathroom.
The price was reasonable.
Close to many shops and the AThens farmers market
Not too terribly far from Uptown Athens.
Check-in was simple.
Staff was friendly
The bed and pillows were very comfortable! And it was the best breakfast we have EVER had a at hotel. The person that cooks and sets up needs a big kudos!
