Beds needed new mattresses very old and broken down, they put mattress toppers on both but sure didn't help any. Don't expect biscuits and gravy with breakfast. also I don't think there was any security on property, I didn't see any. I seen a little yorkie in parking lot told person behind front desk he said no that's my dog, what the heck Not going back.

The only good thing is that it was close to 71.
The only good thing is that it was close to 71. The hotel is uncomfortably outdated & the room was disgusting. The shower was falling apart & nasty. There glops of stains on the walls next to the beds. There was hair on my boyfriends blanket. Avoid this hotel. There were only 2 cars in the parking lot, that should have been our sign to leave.

I am a little biased about La Grange, since I grew up here as a teenager, so I also don't participate in the touristy things, as I come to the area to visit family and friends.
For those who are coming to the city as a tourist:
- Main Street is picturesque.
- It is one of the nicest places in the world. The hospitality is excellent.
- Try Hometown Pizza. I recommend anything off their menu. The best!
- Plenty of shopping and dining options within the city if you don't want to drive into Louisville
Honestly, if you're looking for that small town life, La Grange will definitely satisfy that need.

La Grange has a beautiful downtown.
La Grange has a beautiful downtown. A train goes through the middle of the town, which for kids (and older boys like me) is fun to watch. Several cafe's are there (119 Main and the Red Pepper Cafe' are ones we ate at and both were very good). The surrounding area of Oldham County is gorgeous. Close enough to Louisville to enjoy the activities there, but country enough to get away to. Nearby in Crestwood is the John Black Aquatic Center and Moore Park. The aquatic center was nice, with a dedicated lap lane, a diving well, a kiddie pool connected by a swim-way to the main pool, and a nice size water slide.

Room was decent, location good but the surprise $20 a night pet charge made what was a good value into an expensive trip. I spoke to the day manager and explained there was no prior notification of the charge when I booked. She didn’t care and made a lame excuse that the curtains and carpet would have to be cleaned after. It was VERY obvious the carpet and curtains had probably never been cleaned before. Felt like I got ripped off for an extra $100 for no valid reason. I will not go back to that hotel and told her the same.
The selection of breakfast options was good and well displayed. The hotel desk clerk, Harold, is exceptional. We were traveling with food and needed a freezer, Since the refrigerator in our room didn't have one, he allowed us to use one there in the hotel since we would be there multiple days.
I also like the location of the hotel. It's within walking distance of a Cattlemen's restaurant, but doesn't get highway noise.
Perfect in every way! A quiet beautiful spot just outside of La Grange, with the kindest most thoughtful host with great attention to detail. We loved that when we requested to use the hot tub they also put out towels in a warmer because it was a cooler night. Breakfast was delicious, we couldn’t wait for our second morning to see what would be made. We would love to return.
What I enjoyed was the friendly staff, the quiet room, and the location within LaGrange. The pet charge wasn't that bad either for the length of time we stayed in the hotel. I was appreciative for the discount that the owner gave upon arrival so I could keep my dog with me.
The hotel was very clean and nice. The beds were comfortable and the staff were amazing. The breakfast was a huge variety of hot and cold items. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying there again.
