Ellijay is really just an Orchard/Vineyard town. It is not worth visiting outside of the fruit season. Nothing to do or see, hardly any restaurants and a lot of places are just tourist traps. Worst breakfast we’ve ever eating in our lives was at The Country Corner Kitchen.

Ellijay is a great mix of a quaint little downtown with small local shops and also a larger business area with bigger retail stores and restaurants. Getting around was very easy and the drives are scenic. We had dinner at the "Roof" and breakfast at the "Corner Stone Cafe".
Both were excellent. One of the things we especially love about all of Ellijay is how pet friendly all the businesses are.

Everything exceeded my expectations.
Everything exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was legit, the location was great, staff was friendly. Plus the stay didn't cost an arm and a leg considering the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. I would have expected to pay much more for this hotel.

Ellijay was charming and not as crowded at the holidays as surrounding towns. We were disappointed that all of the small businesses in town were closed on Monday and Tuesday. We ate at the River Street Tavern and the food was excellent and very friendly service.

Scenery, right on the Cartecay River, sound of the water flowing over the rocks. The leaves were at peak in changing for the Fall season. Very secluded and quiet so you could enjoy the natural sounds.

We enjoyed the great fall weather and color changing leaves.
We enjoyed the great fall weather and color changing leaves. The deer were so friendly and were in the front of the yard and the back. The house was very cozy and well stacked with all that we needed.
The location was great, drive was just an hour and a half outside Atlanta. Newly renovated cabin had everything we needed. View was magnificent from the deck, sunset/sunrise were stunning. Area was very quiet with the occasional wildlife sounds in the distance. Priced well. The hiking trails were 30min drive, easy as far as difficulty, and they had amazing views as well. Will definitely be back to stay at this cozy cabin in Elijah. Highly recommend.
Perfectly located between Ellijay and Blue Ridge! Quite an adventure to drive up to the cabin. Nestled in the mountains surrounded by trees, this cabin felt like a tree house with the entrance on the upper level, a large patio and very comfortable seating. Perfect for the family to gather in the evening after a day of hiking and sight seeing! The cabin itself was the perfect size for us. Incredibly peaceful with wild life abounding!
We loved everything about the cabin! Very comfortable and felt like home. Great location, easy to access, nice paved road, convenient to everything you could possibly need in Ellijay and not far to Blue Ridge. The view was excellent, and we enjoyed the hot tub, fire-pit gazebo, balconies, pool table and game room. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with.
The location is right in historic downtown Ellijay. The room was clean and close to half the price of the nicer accomodations so if you are just looking for a place to sleep, this is perfect. The room was a little small but did have a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.
The breakfast, and pool were acceptable, beds were comfortable, at least to our liking, shower was good and the hotel staff was friendly. Everything you could possibly need is in walking distance . Restaurants, walmart, gas stations etc.
We loved how right at home we felt when we stepped through the door. We loved the decorations and how well stocked the house was for the dinner we cooked. We enjoyed lounging around and just being away from the world for a while.
