Ellijay is beautiful, peaceful, not too commercialized or populated. We love the outdoors and there is plenty do to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Amicilola Falls Park is wonderful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and everyone was very nice. We had great service at Cantaberry. We loved the Antique malls, quaint atmosphere. I recommend taking a trip on the Blue Ridge Railway and visiting the shops there. Dawsonwille is nearby to visit the Georgia NASCAR Hall of Fame and the best burgers are at The Pool Room in Dawsonville. Just a great overall experience and relatively no interstate driving from North Central Alabama. We can't wait to return to Ellijay.

Ellijay is really just an Orchard/Vineyard town. It is not worth visiting outside of the fruit season. Nothing to do or see, hardly any restaurants and a lot of places are just tourist traps. Worst breakfast we’ve ever eating in our lives was at The Country Corner Kitchen.

Ellijay is a great mix of a quaint little downtown with small local shops and also a larger business area with bigger retail stores and restaurants. Getting around was very easy and the drives are scenic. We had dinner at the "Roof" and breakfast at the "Corner Stone Cafe".
Both were excellent. One of the things we especially love about all of Ellijay is how pet friendly all the businesses are.

Everything exceeded my expectations.
Everything exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was legit, the location was great, staff was friendly. Plus the stay didn't cost an arm and a leg considering the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. I would have expected to pay much more for this hotel.

Ellijay was charming and not as crowded at the holidays as surrounding towns. We were disappointed that all of the small businesses in town were closed on Monday and Tuesday. We ate at the River Street Tavern and the food was excellent and very friendly service.

Scenery, right on the Cartecay River, sound of the water flowing over the rocks. The leaves were at peak in changing for the Fall season. Very secluded and quiet so you could enjoy the natural sounds.
The location of the property was great. It was close to Ellijay and surrounding areas and was not terribly hard to get to through the gravel roads. Unlike some cabins that are so spread out it was nice that it was not completely spread out with lots of steps. Although obstructed, the views from the back porch were nice. The fenced in area was wonderful to let our furry companions roam and not have to worry about them getting into the woods.
Quiet and great location. My mom, who is 80 and has multiple health issues wanted to go to Elljay, Georgia. Although she was too weak to walk, we were able to get her apples, cider, steak dinner and just a little fresh air. Thank you so much for the hospitality and kindness. Great breakfast. Will definitely keep your number for another trip in Fall if possible.
The cabin was so beautiful and cozy! We really enjoyed our stay. We were pleasantly surprised at how secluded you feel at the cabin but are literally MINUTES away from town. Our hostess was the best, anytime we messaged her she responded quickly! They had games and some toys for kids and any amenities you might need! Lovely cabin!!
This little cabin was just perfect. We loved seeing the goats, chickens, ducks and bunnies. There was a beautiful stream running right in front of the property. It felt totally private though there were were other cabins close by. It was so much better than choosing a hotel for our stay.
The breakfast, and pool were acceptable, beds were comfortable, at least to our liking, shower was good and the hotel staff was friendly. Everything you could possibly need is in walking distance . Restaurants, walmart, gas stations etc.
Nice secluded location away from everything. Heavy on privacy. Beautiful river view and refreshing on a hot summer day since the water was cool. Nice and modern home. Newly renovated.
