A good choice of hotels at a wide range of prices.
A good choice of hotels at a wide range of prices. All pretty close to the gates to the park. We went low end of up market and could probably have had just as good an experience in some of the cheaper accommodation. Take half board because if you are out all day looking for game you will be tired. Would recommend self drive in a decent size car. Protection from the heat or the cold and no dust. Be prepared to drive for some hours. Being out longer gives you a better chance to come across the animals. Best to plan a 3 hour trip to a destination in the park then come back via another route. So a 6 hour drive. You should then manage to see a variety of the animals. We bought the expensive park guide but worth it. Gives kilometers for each section so easy to plan the days drive. Speed limit is between 40 -50 k so judge how far you can get and leave extra time to get back out of the park.

The chalet was clean with a river view,
we enjoyed seeing Hippos and elephants on the riverbank. But the free wifi didn't connect on our site. Breakfast was super but the buffet was expensive 😩 😫 I will definitely go back again the place is clean with a beautiful garden 😊 I wish we could have stayed for two more nights.

Close to Kruger Park gates, but take care on the roads as there are very many potholes and tyre replacement may happen, make sure a hire care has full sized spare, don't get a car with low profile tyres and take out tyre insurance. Because of the potholes don't travel at night especially in the rain Many tyre shops in Hazyview but closed on New Years Day. Hazyview can appear a bit crazy but the shopping centres are convenient and new - go with the African flow!

Hazyview has changed a lot.
Hazyview has changed a lot. The roads are very bad, traffic crazy - people pretty lawless.
The road to Phabeni gate was scary as we were right behind a truck which was hijacked at 6am in the morning.
We ate At Pioneers grill- excellent. Best meat by far!!!
Great place to stay, a bit longer if you have time. SPACIOUS. Very clean. The road towards the property carries little relationship towards what you will find at the end of your road.
It is all reasonably well marked and google maps will help you. After dark, coming from town, the entry road may not be that visible, just remember it is right after the fuel station, on your right. Be aware that you are driving on a busy (Trucks) road, also in the evening.
I would like give 5 stars to the staff of Royal Bakoena Hamilton Parks Country lodge Man, they went out of their way, very efficient and friendly. A special thank you to Again, yep that’s the name of the Concierge that assisted us, what a gem! He is the receptionist, waiter an all rounder basically. He treated us like royalty. I edge everyone to visit this Lodge when you are in the area, you will not regret it. This probably a very long.
We had a wonderful stay at Mdluli! The rooms were exceptional and the staff so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and beyond our expectations. This is truly a luxury tented experince. The property overlooks a watering hole and you can watch animals from the pool area or from your tent. The access into Kruger National Park is amazing. This is a treat hotel for couples or families. And the food was great!
The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff is exceptional. A big thank you to Tracy and Qolisiwe on reception for all their kindness and help! Everything was so clean. Room very comfortable and I like how the rooms are around a courtyard. One of the reasons I chose this hotel is because it has a restaurant open for dinner (many places only do breakfast). Meals were excellent. Very good value!
The owner, Cherri-Ann, goes out of her way to make sure her guest have everything they need for a wonderful holiday. We stayed for over two weeks and will be going back as soon as we can.
Masasana's Rest is central to all tourist attractions and only minutes away from Hazyview.
EVERYTHING!
Staff, facilities, location all excellent!
The staff, Arlene, Prince, Prudence, Musa and Petunia all deserve a special mention for their exceptional work.
The hotel is centrally located.
Lovely play area for kids.
Overall good value for money.
The self catering chalet was very roomy with three double bedrooms all en-suite. There was a large fridge/freezer and ample cupboard space. And the grounds are magnificent and well tended and include a hippo pool and walk along the Sabie River.
Everything! This was really a few days of 'heaven on earth!'. I was very pleased that we could book a self catering tent as both me and my husband have food allergies. All the staff go out of their way to give good and speedy service.
The hotel is located in Hazeyview; a short drive to both Phabeni and Numbi gates at the Kruger National Park. It is also within a relatively short distance to some of the Panorama Route attractions.
1. The location was ideal, centrally located in the small town of Hazyview. A few kilometres from the Kruger Park game park, fun activities for children and golf courses.
2. Unlimited WIFI
Beautiful setting in an indigenous garden. Clean and comfortable accommodation with everything one needed for self catering. Friendly and helpful hosts. Good value for money.
