The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

Very much a retirement community.
Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida. It is nice, cozy, friendly people live there and it would be the best place to live and raise your family.
Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.

Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas.
Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas. Venice is centrally located. Venice has a great dog beach. Venice is very easy to navigate and traffic is not an issue. Traveling with 2 big dogs was not an issue. Easy to find dog-friendly areas.
This is usually my go-to stay when in Venice. The staff was amazing per usual (Ange, Molly, Jeannie, Jamie, Taylor, Jodi, Debbie, and DJ... looking at you)! I lucked out with my hotel neighbors and had a great time with them on the property... The facilities are so amazing you really don’t have to leave the hotel. When I did go out, though, everything was just minutes away.
I ended up extending my stay, not as long as I wanted to, but as long as I could. I will definitely be back again.
I love the outdoor space. The pool and the 'garden' behind it are a peaceful place to spend time in the morning or evenings and one could usually find someone to talk with if interested. The air conditioner in the room was a nice model and the fridge was well sized. I love to walk and the location gave me an excuse to get my steps in walking to and from town and various beaches. Easy access to a grocery store and Walgreens. Did I mention peaceful and quiet????
Everything was so clean and perfectly presented in Floridian style. As a host, Cathy has been so attentive to detail and we were generously welcomed with cookies and pastries. The property is at the rear of their own home but it is detached with all its own facilities, just like home from home.It is well situated for beach days or taking a trip to the shops. The garden is secluded and beautifully kept. We highly recommend this holiday home and it’s hosts.
Having access to both the beach and the bay side . Also was close to good eating restaurants and activities like fishing , shelling , walking or biking and overall exposure to the area . I even drove down to the Venice pier which was not far and easily accessible from this location . As a local Floridian I will definitely be making this a weekend get away place for my family .
The location is great your on Venice island. The prices are great and fair. The staff has been extremely nice and helpful. The beds are comfortable, rooms are very clean. It's a peaceful hotel and Venice island is quiet normally my 9 or 10pm at the latest. You also have a Publix grocery right across the street Walgreens. They will do daily room cleaning if asked.
I ate at Blu Island Tues through Thursday . The food was awesome and the vibe was a funky vibe that was awesome . The staff was awesome and friendly. I also enjoy the Crossant.co the french bakery .
Venice beach was awesome and I love the town with all the shops and restaurants,
I also love the staff at Tropical Villa.
The hotel is a nice mom and pop style place. It had everything we needed and each room opened up to the courtyard where the pool and garden area are. Ping pong table was a hit as well. The location afforded us the opportunity to drive to the beach in less than 5 minutes. Had a great time for the price.
Nice There was everything you need. Very comfortable town a short walk with good restaurants. Helpful staff great pool and bikes to borrow .beaches nearby free parking and sharks teeth to find Sharkeys fishing pier a must.these units are just what's needed
We have used Marriott Hotel Chains for thirty plus years, they are usually clean and well equipped. The staff are usually friendly and your request are usually honored. We highly recommend the name Marriott when staying away from home.
Spacious bedroom, well equipped, calm and quiet even though located next to the pool.
We could borrow things: beach umbrella, surfing boards, beach towels, bikes, etc.
Helpful and nice staff!
A good place that we recommend!
Nice area of Venice Beach. The beach is clean and the public parking and surrounding area are well kept. This is nice place to stay, well kept and close to stores and restaurants.
This was our second trip to Venice and the Villas. We ride the Legacy Trail and the hotel is so convenient to the trail. The location to restaurants and shops are the best.

The condo is steps from Venice Beach and the Crow's Nest is down the street a block. Everyone was very friendly. The weather was awesome. Great place to be.
