We were greeted as we arrived and all the staff were very friendly. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and extremely comfy. Everything was spotlessly clean and there was a well stocked mini bar.
Excellent breakfast with a good menu. Nice touches were that the bed was turned down and a scented diffuser lit.
Dinner was not available on the day we arrived (which we knew about) but Sarah recommended a local restaurant and booked it for us, it was superb. ( called the Never Mind).

We ate at Mauros restaurant and the food was really good but the place that blew our minds for the service, food and atmosphere was the Rambling Rose. They went out of their way to help and with me being vegan ..... went the extra mile to accommodate me.
The setting of the restaurant was also beautiful and relaxing.
The roads, except for the main road are in very poor shape and made driving around unpleasant .... not sure if I would be in a hurry to go back .... which is sad because we used to spend all our holidays there when our children were younger .... early eighties to early nineties.

Lovely beach walks---at St Francis Bay and nearby Cape St Francis. both of which are very attractive to surfers.
Well provided with a variety of restaurants and shops.
St Francis Bay suffers, as do many towns, from a lot of plastic litter, both of the beach and in the bushes.

A beautiful coastal village.
A beautiful coastal village. Multi-faceted, with canal-living for amazing water activities, the Port for fishing boats, Cape St. Francis, and two great golf courses.
Diverse, outdoor opportunities with nature walks; longer hikes; cycling trails; old-fashioned family beach days; kite-surfing, jet-skiing, water skiing; SUP; and whale watching.
In season still has manageable traffic congestion, and there’s always a parking bay to be found. A few delicious deli options, including vegetarian/vegan, three wine stores, well-stocked supermarket; surf shops, designer kitchen and decor shops and eclectic clothing stores. Coffee shops; a range of live music venues and spa facilities.
Not as overwhelmed by visitors compared with other coastal hotspots in season, a very chilled, sociable community, more Lycra than Linen😎

Lovely town, lovely beaches, nice restaurants.
Lovely town, lovely beaches, nice restaurants. Would recommend for a long weekend getaway. Had a boat cruise, lasted an hour which was just a tour of people's houses, didn't even leave the area we were in so first check the route of the cruise before deciding which one to take. Great place for relaxing

I really liked the whole area and it was n very nice relax moment for me and my friends. E overall really enjoyed the whole weekend and thanks again for letting us staying till 3..and wow the lady that assist us was so professional and good manners.
There were flowers in every room, farm eggs and milk in the fridge. It was lovely and quiet yet we could still hear the sea at high tide. Chickens and geese wandered around, the horses greeted us as we drove in and out and the nyala welcomed us between the gates on the drive in.
This will be our first "go to" when looking for accommodation in St Francis Bay in future.
Lovely place in St. Francis Bay. The owner's were very welcoming and took great care of us. The breakfast is made to order and delicious. Richard's homemade bread is a real treat. The room had beautiful views of the water and was very comfortable. We were only passing through but after staying here, we wished we had stayed longer.
The hosts were exceptional & friendly, very helpful as i had some medical treatment and needed some special assistance
the breakfasts were also excellent.
having stayed in many guesthouses & hotels locally & internationally this was very good and seemed like home, feeling very welcome from day one.
Very good location and the view was great - overlooking the ocean.
The house also have an invertor system which help with load schedding being so frequent of late.
All in all a nice house for our purposes with all the equipment needed for a pleasant self catering experience.
ShipsBell 5B is a compact and well appointed apartment overlooking the harbour (with balcony). It is excellent both as a base for exploration of Cape St. Francis and as a retreat. Many thanks to the owners for doing everything so well.
Best location on the canals amazing hosts. Attention to detail in every aspect Clean comfortable with great views. Breakfast always fresh and value for money. We had relaxed and recharged and made unforgettable memories
Amazing location right on the water in the canals. Close to many restaurants and only a few minutes from town or the beach. The hosts are also amazing and will to cater or assist with any need or query.
Very close to centre of town, beaches and canals. Beautiful entertainment area and pool. Stunning view from the second floor. Perfect for a large family. Solar inverter means no load shedding.
Restaurants, hiking, visiting the beach, lighthouse, canals, the shopping around. The apartment was beautiful and we had Wi-Fi, we had DSTV and NETFLIX, stanning views.
The house is absolutely fantastic, the location on the canals is perfect, Craig was very accommodating, we actually have another trip planned in a couple of weeks.
