Bela Bela is a small town and everything is central.

Bela Bela is a small town and everything is central. I found that there wasn't a lot of things that can be done at a reasonable price except for the Warmbaths resort. Restaurants and a shopping center were a 5 mins drive from where we booked and that was a big plus for us.

Would've been nice to see the Big 5 as advertised, but we didn't get to see any elephants, although were told people on the game drives see them as the game rangers know where they are. The Lions are kept in an enclosure, but you are not able to view them freely, you can only see them on Wednesday and Sunday morning for feeding. Having said that we did enjoy our stay, it was relaxing, everyone was friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Mablingwe Nature Reserve, Private Residences, the ROCK COTTAGE, which I would never recommend as your safety is not considered even if the ceilings fall down, For me if you have great accommodation and comfort the being in the bush experience can be enjoyed, dont expect an animal safari.

Everything was perfect except that game driving was not available during our stay. We thought that breakfast was offered only to find out that where we are staying they don't bring it! We also didn't bring any food only to find out that the only shop that is there is extremely expensive then the following day we drove to town to buy our own grocery at known grocery shops. It's easy to drive around Bela- Bela. Next time we know that will have to bring with our own grocery since buying at the facility cost an arm and a leg!

    We loved the house.

We loved the house. It was well decorated, had the comfort of a luxury home away from home with everything in the house needed to be comfortable. The kitchen cutlery and crookery was sufficient for my family and visitors. The game room was amazing. Both young and old were able to play the games that was available. The scenery is breath taking and we had a front row view of the lake which we enjoyed as well. I will highly recommend Fish Eagle Manor to any interested traveler and will rebook when I return to South Africa.

Most accommodation places are close to the city and the Forever resort which makes life easier. We had Christmas lunch at one of the exotic restaurant by the name of Rusty Grille. Spa places were also within the proximity of our stay.

The location was great. The reserve is quite remote but not so much that we couldn't get to Bela-Bela mall as needed. The units are spaced out so you are not close to other units which we really enjoyed. We loved seeing the antelope and guniea-fowl passing outside the unit and we even spotted giraffe on our way out! The unit was clean, comfortable, very spacious and fit all 6 of us comfortably, and had most of what we needed to get by.

Bedding & towels fresh & clean. Loved being able to swim at home and not having to go out. Braai area was nice. Enough toilet paper was provided and the sweety on the bed was a plus. We had visits from the wild animals. To our surprise the house was being serviced. Great! There was nothing we needed. We would recommend the Lodge. Guests just needs guidance at to where to go to book activities.

we didnt have breakfast there because we thought the rooms were self catering so we had planned to cook our own breakfast. the location was good, we didnt get too lost, we just missed a turn but after calling we rerouted and found our way, the place itself is beautiful, we wanted something as far away from the city as possible and we got exactly that.

Everything about this place was amazing. The upper room gave nice views of even the pool and the garden. The finishing was beautifully done. Great landscaping and hotel styling. Literally there was something great to look at every corner. Paid great attention to detail. Open space for kitchen views it was great.

Hoogland Spa is a self catering establishment and we catered for ourselves. We inquired if we could have a later check out and the hosts were very accommodating. It just so happened that it was not necessary but it gave us peace of mind not to worry about checking out at the recommended time. Thank you.
