San Antonio's downtown is the hub of the city's nightlife, with hundreds of dining options, bars and clubs mostly on the Riveralk and throughout street level. Other major nightlife locales, include Southtown Arts District, home to First Friday Art Walk, a large art block party with crowds upward of 20,000 along Alamo St. Scores of dining, galleries, theatres and lodging options, that include more than 10 historic 19th century B&B's adjacent to the Riverwalk. Other nightlife districts include upper Broadway and North Main, aka the Gay Strip, the heart of San Antonio's Gay & Lesbian community. The gay clubs include: The Saint Show Bar(Drag Shows)The Heat, Pegasus, Sparky's Pub, Silver Dollar Saloon, Luthers, Essence(Go Go boy's) and Electric Company and the Annex on San Pedro Avenue, running parallel two blocks west of Main. The biggest gay dance bar in Texas, Bonham Exchange, a former 19th century German Athletic Club, is located downtown, next to the Alamo.
