North Sydney is a large commercial centre near central Sydney. Located immediately north of the landmark Sydney Harbour Bridge and facing the central city skyline across Sydney Harbour. North Sydney has its own skyscraper skyline on the opposite site of the Harbour Bridge from the city. It is the second largest commercial district in Sydney. Its shops and food halls are at their busiest weekday lunchtimes, and the pubs are packed after work on a Friday and restaurants full on Friday lunchtimes. Although there are a few good restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs, the area is primarily commercial, with many shops not opening on a Saturday, and just about everything closed on a Sunday. The local and visitor crowd is just as likely to head towards nearby Crows Nest and Military Road on the Lower North Shore
