Henry's Tacos. This place is horrible. Previous comments about people driving in to the valley for this is inaccurate, must have been owners posting. Mexian Food in the Valley try "Senor Fred's" and "Casa Vega". If your looking for a dive mexican joint Hugo's Tacos. If your looking for something specific to North Hollywood just look around a ton of authentic dive taco shops. Give them a try most are good and reasonable. But not Henry's. �
Places right across the street from Henry's Tacos include a 7-11, a sushi bar (there are over 200 of the former and latter in the Valley), Jennifer's Coffee, and Holly's Donut. Go down Tujunga Ave. (Henry's Tacos is on the intersection of Tujunga and Moorpark) and you'll reach Vitello's, the Italian restaurant and the site where Robert Blake's wife was found dead (after he had to go back into the restaurant to retrieve his gun), and Aroma Cafe- a smaller, more cozy version of Starbucks.
Along Lankershim can be found several gems including, Vicious Hot Dogs, Big Mama's Pizza, Eclectic Cafe, Indie Coffee, and Salomi Indian Restuarant.
North of the gentrified "Arts District" is a working class neighborhood largely populated by Latinos. Delicious authentic street food can be found along such streets as Vineland (north of Burbank) including numerous taco trucks and bacon-wrapped hot dogs. These are affordable options that are usually open late.
