The main highway is sprinkled with barbecue joints. Few have menus, and though prices are usually pretty standard and reasonable, asking will stave off any potential for problems in the end. The menus consist of barbecued chunks of meat (khorovats), ground meat (kebab), and whole vegetables (tomatoes, eggplant, sliced potatoes with pig fat). Strained yogurt, olives, greens and lavash are also normally brought to the table.
For fast food you usually have to go to a grocery store and assemble yourself a sandwich, except in the larger towns.
