RENFE runs a number of trains per day from Madrid and Barcelona. A ride from Madrid takes about three hours, and from Barcelona it takes up to five hours. Commuter trains connect Alicante with neighborhoods and Murcia. The RENFE Train Station is in the city centre at Avenida de Salamanca 1 (38°20'40"N 0°29'42"W).
