From Madrid: Buses leave Madrid several times each day from the Estación del Sur. The journey takes between three and a half to four and a half hours, depending on the service / time of day. Services usually take a 20 minute break in the town of Navalmoral de la Mata. As of 18 July 2008, a single ticket costs 19,87€ (9,94€ for under 4s) and a return 36,15€ (17,89€ for under 4s) on normal services. On express services this rises to 23,75€ (11,90€) for singles and 43,40€ (21,40€) for returns. From Seville / the south / Salamanca / the north: Buses from the Alsa company run this corridor, passing through Cáceres. Tickets (as at 18 July 2008) from Seville to Cáceres are 17,08€ single and 32,45€ return. Cáceres Bus Station is on the outskirts of town, around 1-2km from the city centre. Taxis are readily available, although it is an easy stroll along the Avenida de Alemania to the city centre.
