About 10km in the north of Giessen are some relicts of ancient celtic buildings, e.g. a Celtic oppidum was rebuilt. They are located on the Dünsberg, a small wooded hill on which activities such as hiking and cycling can also be done.
Nearby are some old castles , which can be visited too.
