How to get out Waterland and Zaan Region
Amsterdam is just 15 minutes away
Adjoining to the north is the Kop van Noord-Holland region with its own distinctive historic towns, like Alkmaar and Enkhuizen. This is also the region where you will find the famous Afsluitdijk, the man made dike that separates the IJsselmeer from the Waddensea.
Zuid-Kennemerland National Park lies on the seaside, west of the Waterland and Zaan region in the region of Kennemerland. It's a natural park with forests on dune fringes and coastal beaches (popular ones in Zandvoort and Bloemendaal), but also has some estates.
