Walking or possibly cycling is the best way to get around in this small town. Cycling may cause a problem however: Burgess Hill - as the name suggests - is rather hilly. There are also good local bus routes and taxis available, with a taxi rank outside the railway station. There are two railway stations in Burgess Hill, with Wivelsfield station slightly further north, and Burgess Hill station closer to the town centre.
