There is a large nearly one kilometer barrage and bridge across the river 3 kilometers from Triveni bazaar. This forms a slow moving 10 kilometer long "pool" into the Chitwan Jungle would be idyllic for small houseboats, and river cruises. But there are very quaint local wooden row boats to take you across or tour the river environs.
The 5 meter boats/ferries are available at Tribeni ghat to take you across the river for approximately 25 rupees one way. Expect more if you want your own private boat. The walk from the shore to the ashram is approximately 20 minutes.
