Most people arrive from Jericoacoara (4x4 truck once a day R$ 25) or Parnaíba (a couple of daily buses by Guanabara R$ 13, several minibuses) in neighbouring state of Piauí. It is also the most accessible beach for the population of Sobral (Several buses daily, -some continue to Fortaleza). There is one weekly flight by Litorânea to Fortaleza, and another to São Luís via Parnaíba and Barreirinhas.
