The 14th century St Marys Church is often referred to as the cathedral of South Cheshire.
Nantwich Museum is in Pillory Street. It stands next door to the former Nantwich jail and across the road is a replica of the original pillory. The museum has displays about the town's past including the leather industry and salt mining and a recently discovered salt ship.
