National park (admission �90) covers the whole island, formed by volcanic eruptions about 7,000 years ago. It is not heavily touristed, Chinese come here on daily trips, but rarely stay longer. English is not widespread. Bring cash supplies with you, the only ATM on the island (in Nanwan) will not accept foreign cards.
