Niagara Falls, NY One of the wonders of the world and a great honeymoon spot, a short 30 minute drive up I-190 or a 35 minute ride on NFTA Bus #40 (leaves from Gate 14 inside the Metropolitan Transportation Center, $1.75 one-way). New York State Parks and Recreation runs a free visitor's center which has some of the closest views to the Falls (less than 20 feet!), the Cave of the Winds is nearby and actually lets you see from behind the falls ($11). A sincere effort has been taken to stay true to the natural beauty of the area, and unlike the Canadian side, there's none of the glitzy Las Vegas style attractions.
Lockport Lockport is a city in Niagara County, New York, United States. The population was 22,279 at the 2000 census. The name is derived from a set of Erie canal locks within the city. Lockport is the county seat of Niagara County and is surrounded by the Town of Lockport.
