About 32 years ago, a retired engineer along with his two sons decided to convert an old mansion that they owned in to a hotel. Being passionate travellers, they felt the need for a hotel that provided all the necessities like clean and safe rooms, hygienic food and relaxing garden, but was not very expensive. Out of this idea was Arya Niwas born. Arya Niwas had many firsts to its credit, like a no tip policy, no commission to rickshaw and taxi drivers, no room service, no bar and only vegetarian(+eggs) food. The idea was to PASS ON the savings by removing all extras to guests! So Arya Niwas had reasonably priced rooms and hygienically prepared food at a tough to beat price! Though times have passed and many more facilities are today considered essential and necessary (like free and fast wi-fi), Arya Niwas still maintains the fundamentals that we were born with - Safety, cleanliness, great value for money and efficient operations.
