About Sargeants & Armoury Cottages [1823]
Nestled in tranquil surroundings overlooking the historic Richmond bridge, The Sargeants and Armoury Cottages were built by convicts in 1823. One of the first cottages to be built in Richmond and used to house the Sargeant who oversaw the building of the Historic Richmond Bridge which was also constructed in 1823. On entering the cottages the peace of yesteryear enfolds you as you step back in time. The adults-only cottages each feature a wood fire and French doors which open on to a relaxing courtyard.
